Introduction
The beginning
Balázs-Diák has been dealing with the developing of teaching materials and their trading for more than 17 years. It provides holistic supply for educational institutes from furniture to teaching materials. The family enterprise has grown into a market leader firm in Hungary on the field of education. Pushing the advantage of the auspicious economical possibilities in the neighbouring countries, the firm established its subsidiaries, which operate individually with similar profiles, in Rumania (2006) and in Slovakia (2007).
Film series to overhead projectors
The serial consisting of 16 slide files, started in 2003, brought significant financial and professional appreciation into the firm’s life.In 2004 it won the acknowledgement of the 12th Hungarian Innovation Award then it was remunerated by the Hungarian Product Award and the winner of the Hungarian House of Quality. The slide file can thank its success to the fact that it is a professionally authentic, quality intellectual product that can be used well in teaching practice.
i-Doctum interactive teacher package
With the spread of modern educational technology the need for electronic curriculum has risen. To satisfy customer needs, following the idea of the slide files, the firm started a huge development in 2007. It created an interactive program package with i-Doctum trade mark which got the labelling of “recognized product” on the qualifier tender of the Hungarian Product Award.
Training
Besides trading and publishing activities the firm does pedagogic service work. It deals with teaching the use of interactive white boards and the practical use of the curriculum on registered courses in the whole country.
